Dirt and Turf for Pegasus 2019

The heat is on for next year's Pegasus World Cup the renowned richest race for horses in the world.

Now on its third year, the Stornach Group has decided to add up some spice to make this most-awaited event bigger and better for all the horse racers, fans and celebrities.

Aside from the 11/8 miles dirt race, they added 1 turf stakes to this year's race-day activities. This 1 3/16 miles turf race aims to attract and showcase 12 of the best older turf horses from across the globe turning the 16 million dollar Pegasus World Cup Invitational into a Championship Invitational Series.

The Turf Invitational will debut with a $7 million money bag with $3 million awarded to the winner. The usual Pegasus World Cup Invitation will now offer over $9 million with a $4 million prize waiting for the reigning winner of the 12-horse field.

The money on the bank keeps on coming as the Stornach Group will generously offer a million dollars as a bonus to the winners of both The Pegasus World Cup Invitational and The Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational.

Now if the Dirt Race has their toughest five, let's take a peek on who the Turf Takers are expected to take a lead for this debut race.

Glorious Empire

This horse may have failed in the Breeder's Cup but should be taken seriously as he could fight really hard for this Turf Category. He is expected to knock head with the turfers with a wire-to-wire possibility.

Aerolithe

The 4-years young Aerolithe may have not reached the top 10 for the Group 1 Mile race at Kyoto, Japan but there is a great possibility that she can run better and one of the leads ar Gulfstream Park on Jan 26. Never underestimate a female horse to beat up the male runners.

Magical

Another female on the line is Aiden where it took a massive effort on Enable for the miss to lose out on winning the Breeder's Cup. Aiden started off fast from the gate with some monster effort at Churchill Downs and surely be the next best on track so far next to Enable.

Arklow

This horse had a surprising fourth finish next to Enable, Magical and Sadler's Joy in the last Breeder's Cup and would certainly still keep up with them on the Turf Invitational in the Pegasus. This guy got a good closing kick which should everyone look forward to. He is fast and almost caught Zulu Alpha and finished second in his last turf race in Sycamore.

Catapult

The Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational won't be a problem to Catapult with his track record finishing second next to Expert Eye in the Breeder's Cup Mile. He has shown his potential winning the Mile over some good horses and will surely be one of the bet players favorite if he makes the race.

These early horses are not the only ones who will run for the Turf Invitational this January. Would it be possible to them to take home the $3 million prize at stake?

The odds for the Pegasus Cup will be determined on the night through a method known as Pari Mutual betting which actually means “amongst ourselves”. This is the best way to describe Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) which is the betting type of TVG. Common pools for each type of wager in a race are created by the amount bet on each horse or bet type.

Essentially, a bet placed by a patron is wagering against all the other people betting on the race. The odds will fluctuate depending on how much money is wagered on each horse. In simple terms, the shorter the odds means the higher the racer get the bets and most likely known and will be the winner.

This is the most recommended betting strategy especially to the new players.
